Justin Fry wins the US Pastry Competition

 During the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show in March, the 27th edition of US Pastry Competition, promoted with passion by Paris Gourmet, raised in New York City promising pastry chef to compete on “Magic and illusion“.
The jury included names like Ewald Notter, Laurent Branlard, En Ming Hsu, Richard Capizzi, Florian Bellanger, Norman Love and Biagio Settepani, supervised by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique.

The pastry chefs have introduced a chocolate entremets, a plated dessert, 25 chocolates (16 g each) and an artistic pièce with chocolate (with the not more than 50% of sugar).
Justin Fry won the Pastry Chef of the Year award. He works together with Norman Love in Miami, Florida.

The second place went to Nicolas Chevrieux of Maison Kayser NYC, followed by his friend Joseph Settepani, of Pasticceria Bruno in Staten Island, together with the family. Honorable mention went to Kristen Battle of Sirio Ristorante NYC.
In parallel there was the Junior Pastry Chef Challenge, aimed at young culinary schools.
In addition to Paris Gourmet, these contests are supported by Cacao Noel Chocolate, Ravifruit, and Beurremont 83%.
