A NEW REINTERPRETATION FOR THE 2016 MIDAUTUMN FESTIVAL
DISCOVER FROM 22ND AUGUST TO 18TH SEPTEMBER 2016
Pierre Hermé revisits once again the traditional Mooncake for 2016. Turning the Mid-Autumn Festival into a delicious treat by offering us his rendition of a Chinese tradition that marks the passage into the winter solstice, Pierre Hermé introduces three new flavours to complete the collection of four: Sensation, Mathilda, Infiniment Praline Noisette, and Ouvre-Toi.
The crunchy almond praline celebrates the Full Moon whereas the almond praline with lemon zest represents the New Moon. Hazelnut praline, iconic flavour of the Maison, and sesame nougatine treats evoke the First and Waning Crescents of the Moon.
The Mooncakes, dipped in Pure Origin dark chocolate from Mexico, convey a luscious and balanced harmony of flavours.
MOONCAKE SENSATION (new)

A new interpretation of the Maison Pierre Hermé Paris’ distinctive praliné, this chocolate mooncake expresses the wonder of almonds in the crispiness of bits of crepe dentelle and crunchiness of roasted nuts.
MOONCAKE MATHILDA (new)
Almond praline with lemon zest, roasted almonds slivers, enrobed in dark chocolate
Hidden under a shell of Mexican dark chocolate — the marvellous taste of roasted almond praliné, perfumed with lemon zests and enhanced with slivers of toasted almonds.
MOONCAKE INFINIMENT PRALINE NOISETTE (new)
Crunchy, smooth hazelnut praline enrobed in dark chocolate
With this mooncake wrapped in Pure Origin Mexican dark chocolate, Pierre Hermé offers centre stage to the Maison’s iconic hazelnut praliné. A delightfully crispy and crunchy sensation.
Sesame praline, sesame nougatine, enrobed in dark chocolate
Sesame praline and sesame nougatine merge in balanced harmony in this reinterpretation of the traditional mooncake. Representing the moon’s First Crescent, this patisserie is dipped in Pure Origin Mexican dark chocolate known for its heady and wood notes.
