The Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show hosted by Kerry Vincent of Tulsa, Oklahoma, celebrates this year its 20th anniversary.
A visual feast of sublime wedding cakes will be displayed upon stunning table settings; all taking pride of place in the lower level location of the River Spirit Expo Building at the Tulsa State Fair. The festivities begin on September 27 with competition and contestant setup (not for public viewing), with all the flurry of cakes arriving, registration, unveiling – and then the event itself opens to the general public September 28 and 29, 2013. The theme of this year’s show is “Ballet 2013.” It will be held in the sugar art section of the Quiktrip Building at the Tulsa State Fair on Saturday, September 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Hundreds of spectacular award-winning cakes are in programme in the bustling fun-filled atmosphere of the Tulsa State Fair with stunning table settings and sublime designs, with quality and style of the nation’s premier cake designers as they stir up a glorious menu of bespoke wedding cakes. Never has the immaculate construction of an edible flower been so vital, the addition of a sugar streamer so nerve wracking, or the stacking of carefully constructed tiers so vital. Strolling through this labyrinth of edible art, visitors can soak up a quintessential experience: the ultimate inspiration for consumers to simply muse and marvel or create the cake of their dreams. Beautifully presented, there is something for everyone, young or old.
